Loop powering up trouble caused by revision change of MIX-M500RAP(A) Relay modules when used in the AP protocol.

Issue:
When powering up a loop that has a MIX-M500RAP(A) relay with date code TBD, it will cause the panel to go into a loop initialization fault. This issue is due to a design change, which deviates from published specifications made by System Sensor that is causing an adverse effect (bad checksum) fault the panels listed below.

Affected panels:

PanelFirmware
FX-2000N ‘FleXNet’12.2.30 (or lower)
FX-4000N ‘FleXNet MP’1.11.X (or lower)
FX-35003.0.9
FX-33183.0.9

Solution:
Change the affected relay device listed above to the CLIP protocol or upgrade the Firmware of the panels to the following.

PanelFirmware
FX-2000N ‘FleXNet’12.2.40 (or higher)
FX-4000N ‘FleXNet MP’1.12.0 (or higher)
FX-35003.0.17 (or higher)
FX-33183.0.17 (or higher)

Method:
Use the following steps to gather the data necessary to quickly identify if any of the MIXM500RAP(A) on your system are causing the issues listed above.

  1. Use the following link to download Tera Term:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ntiwmrio9ccwoey/teraterm-4.99.exe?dl=0
  2. With Tera Term enable run a AP parameter report. See the link below for How to do this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yxa2xkol0kk2j66/TeraTerm%20Connector%20Guide.pdf
  3. Once the report is captured, send the report and a description of the trouble to the Mircom Applications email: [email protected]

TX3 PRODUCTS WITH -256 SUFFIX

Due to the pandemic, the global supply chain has been impacted in ways not experienced by the world in the past. Essential raw materials are difficult to obtain and there is a pronounced shortage of workers in manufacturing centers and logistic companies. The impacts we face include slow, postponed and short deliveries from supply partners.

One part that has been a particularly difficult sourcing challenge for Mircom is a critical microchip used in a number of our TX3 products. As a result, affected items (Old Model Numbers) have been placed on temporary hold for indeterminate period.

The alternative part numbers with -256 suffix (New Model Numbers) are available for ordering.

Please refer the Product Update Bulletin and Manual for more info.
