Purpose of the Training
This training is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the FX-4000 software and programming. Our goal is to equip technicians with the necessary skills to efficiently operate and program the FleXNet FX-4000 system and FX-400 Series Control Panels with QX-Mini ECS system.
Overview of FleXNet FX4000
The FleXNet FX-4000 is a sophisticated fire alarm control system known for its modular design and scalable architecture. This system is designed for flexibility in programming and customization, allowing for tailored solutions in various building environments.
Objectives of the Training
Participants will:
- Acquire technical knowledge of the FleXNet FX-4000’s hardware and software components.
- Learn configuration and programming specific to FleXNet FX-4000.
- Acquire technical knowledge of the FX-400 Series and QX-MINI hardware and software components.
- Learn configuration and programming specific to FleXNet FX-4000 and FX-400 Series and QX-MINI.
- Engage in hands-on sessions to apply technical knowledge in simulated environments.
- Develop skills for troubleshooting and maintaining the system effectively.
This training aims to enhance technical skills and operational efficiency with the FleXNet FX-4000, FX-400 Series and QX-MINI system.
Course Outline
FX-4000 Technical Certification Course:
- Type of Course: Instructor Led training – Technical certification.
- Format: Combination of self-guided prerequisite work and Live hands-on instructor-led training.
Stage 1 (Pre-requisite) Self-Guided Coursework delivered online using Mircom Learn LMS:
- Online course work opens for enrolled attendees starting 1 week prior to Stage 2
- Duration: Approximately 2-4 hours
- Content: Includes learning modules, lessons, and quizzes on FleXNet FX-4000 assemblies and hardware.
- Complete by: May 5th, 2025 (Prior to the first Classroom ILT session)
- Mandatory: Completion is required for access to Classroom ILT sessions and certification.
Stage 2 Instructor-Led Training – LOCATION: TBD – Salt Lake City, Utah
Dates: Tuesday May 6th through Friday May 9th, 2025

Class Enrollment Details and Course Pricing
FleXNet FX-4000N Technician Certification Course Costs – LMS access and Instructor Led hands-on Classroom Event Training
- $1475 + tax per person*
- FleXNet FX-4000 New Technician Course for technicians that have no prior FleXNet Product Training.
*(Programming keys and panel connection kits are not included. Training keys and kits are made available for use in the training class)
All attendees will be given access to Mircom Learn (Learning management System). Pre-requisite course content will be provided in this environment. Resources such as configuration software, manuals, firmware etc., will be included.
The registration fee includes in-class interaction with the instructor, practical exercises with heavy reference to programming software, and detailed technical presentations.

Training Payment Policy
Within 72 hours of registration for in-class training, a sales confirmation order with the owed training enrollment fees will be emailed to the registering technician and company.
Course enrollment fees must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the start date of the course, or you will forfeit your reserved spot in class, as reservations are made on a first come first served basis.
Training fees are non-fundable. If an attendee is unable to attend, fees will not be refunded but can be applied to a future training event.

Communication Plan
A dedicated communication channel using Mircom’s LMS system will be established for the participants to facilitate seamless interaction before, during, and after the training event. This will include a training portal for resources, current and future course options and Certificates.
Laptop/PC Specifications Required for Class
Attendees will require a Windows PC laptop, with the following minimum specifications: (A laptop is needed for portability when connecting to control equipment):
- 1GHz CPU or better with at least 4GB RAM
- At least 600 MB of available disk space
- Microsoft Windows (up to version 11)
- Ensure the user has Wi-Fi internet access permissions
- Ensure the user has permission to install software.
- Minimum 2 USB Ports for Codemeter Key and Panel Connection
Preparations before attending class
Sign in and join the online LMS classroom group and take the pre-requisite course. Instructions will be forwarded one week prior to the Live Event.
Follow the instructions in the course curriculum outline.
Complete any prerequisite course material as required by the due date.
Key Notes:
- ILT Location: To be determined.
- Access to Course Materials and Software: Provided via Mircom Learn LMS.
- Grading: All quizzes and assignments – tracked and graded.
- Certification: Attendees who do not complete the prerequisite material will not be granted access to Live ILT sessions or certification.
- Configuration Software should be installed during the pre-requisite course stage to avoid classroom delays. Your IT department’s permission may be required to install software.
