Dear valued customer,
We’re excited to introduce Mircom FleXNet with Integrated Digital Audio and MGC Protocol support — a powerful, flexible solution designed to simplify upgrades, reduce costs, and accelerate installation.
Mircom integrated fire alarm and digital audio platform delivers zoned, multi-channel emergency audio, paging, and evacuation, making it ideal for both new installations and retrofit projects.
With support for both MGC (MIX-4000 Series) and legacy Mircom AP/CLIP devices on the same system, FleXNet enables seamless, staged modernization. Existing devices can remain in service while upgrades are completed over time, floor by floor or zone by zone – minimizing disruption and spreading costs.
Key Benefits & Applications:
- Lower total project cost: Full compatibility with Mircom’s device portfolio and mixed protocols reduces hardware and labor requirements
- Reduced installation time: Plug-and-play 100W digital amplifiers simplify setup while delivering 70% more power than legacy systems
- Cost-effective retrofits: Upgrade existing systems without full device replacement, ideal for aging buildings and budget-conscious projects. Easily modernize buildings with conventional systems using conventional zone modules
- Flexible expansion: Support distributed audio across large campuses, high-rises, and multi-tower facilities with expansion cabinets up to 2,000 ft apart
- Lower total project cost: Full compatibility with Mircom’s device portfolio and mixed protocols reduces hardware and labor requirements
- Scalable performance: Up to 5,575W of audio power per node with support for multiple expansion cabinets
- Broad AV device compatibility: Built-in synchronization with a wide range of speakers and NACs (Mircom, System Sensor, Eaton/Wheelock, Gentex)
- Flexible low-frequency compliance: Achieve code compliance using either dedicated low-frequency NACs or .wav audio through compatible MGC speakers and speaker strobes
- Space-saving installations: Compact, all-in-one cabinet integrates fire alarm panel, amplifiers, power supply, and batteries
- Faster, simplified deployment: Reduced wiring, footprint, and installation complexity for both new builds and retrofit projects
New System Features:
- Version V2.0.3 is a major functional update over V1.15.602, focusing on:
- Improved backward compatibility and handling of legacy configuration files
- Compatibility enhancements make it safer and easier to use existing job files and legacy panel configurations when upgrading to V2.0.3
- MGC Protocol supports up to 240 physical MIX-4000 devices (240 sensors and modules) per SLC- Advanced Protocol (AP) supports up to 318 devices, CLIP supports 99 sensors or 99 modules, base system is expandable up to 28 SLCs per node
- 4 Class A/B Indicating Circuits (NACs) rated at 1.7Aps each and expandable using NAC adder modules (SGM-1004S) with full synchronization support- Regulated 24VDC Power Supply Output and maximum 27 amps output
- Supports three access levels for different user permissions
- Four Alarm Queues with selector switches and LEDs for Alarm, Supervisory, Monitor and Trouble
- RS-232 printer or programming port & RS-485 Interface for Remote Annunciators, Remote Annunciators do not occupy a node on the network, up to 7 annunciators can be connected per node
- Two Event History Logs; Alarm-related events (5000 events) and All events (5000 events)
- OpenGN, is a building monitoring/control software platform, which can be programmed to email system conditions such as alarm, trouble, supervisory, and detector status
Network:
- Provides 63 node peer-to-peer Arcnet network communication
- Fully integrated digital network audio and control over a single pair of copper wire or fiber optic cable
- Supports over 5,000 addressable points per node
- Remote diagnostics via built in WebServer and standard Ethernet port in every node or OpenGN, BACNet
- Style 4 (Class B) or Style 6 or 7 (Class A) wiring configuration
Audio:
- 4 Audio Channels for Alert, Evacuation, Paging and Auxiliary Audio
- 24/7 Background Music: Auxiliary audio input available along with amplifier supervision during non-fire
- Supports up to 5 fire fighter telephone channels per node, that can be expanded with addressable fire phone modules
- Flexibility for choosing wattage per circuit and number of speaker circuits
- Single power supply, powering both Fire and Audio components, while also serving as a battery charger
- Priority can be assigned to individual QMP-6101N(V) paging modules using rotary switch
- Self-resetting amplifiers for short detection, or current overload
