Dear Valued Partner,
The V1.15 update applies to the FlexNet FX-4000N series product line. All enhancements and updates introduced in V1.15 are outlined within this document.
This update is intended to provide new features and enhancements only.
This means existing systems operating on older versions are not required to update to this version unless the additional features introduced are needed or required. For component replacement or servicing of existing systems, components that contain newer software should be downgraded to match the existing system software. Access to older software versions is provided by contacting Mircom Applications Group at [email protected].

Firmware Update Recommendations
As of July 2025, production of the FlexNet FX-4000N product line will begin shipping with firmware V1.15.2. The label on the panel can be used to verify the firmware version.
This update is intended for new system installations where final testing and verification has not yet been completed. For existing systems, the following recommendations should be considered.
This update may be implemented on systems currently operating on older FlexNet FX-4000N series software.
Software changes should be properly assessed, and appropriate retesting/verification should be completed in accordance to local governing standards and codes.
Updating an existing FlexNet FX-4000N system installation to V1.15.2.
Upon upgrading an existing system, the following procedures are strongly recommended:
- The enhancements and changes are listed and explained throughout this document. Ensure that this document is carefully reviewed in its entirety.
- Plan the update and retesting according to all applicable national and local requirements.
- Review the system configuration following the update to ensure no unintended changes or modifications have occurred.
- Where applicable, test all system operations which may be affected following the system update.
- Keep a backup of the job file before performing any update to the fire alarm panel
This update is not recommended for systems currently operating on older FlexNet series software V10.X.XX, V11.X.XX, V12.X.XX or V14.X.XX without Mircom application team support.

Feature Additions & Enhancements in V1.15.1 Configurator, V1.15.2 Firmware
Major Features
- Support for the new multi-functional color display, RAXN-4000LCDGC, has been added. This main display/remote annunciator offers enhanced text readability and a user-friendly interface.
- Enhanced support has been added for the MIX-4020 and MIX-4021 photo-heat sensors, enabling low and high heat detection for FSAE operations. The updated configurator now recognizes a single address for the photo sensor and two sub-addresses for the heat sensors (Low and High). Region-specific low heat settings are also included, with support for NFPA (90°F) and FDNY (100°F) requirements.
- The system now supports the ability to individually correlate LED annunciators with specific input zones within the same node. Previously, LED annunciators mirrored each other’s statuses, limiting the number of input zones which could be individually monitored, on a single node.
- The configurator now supports exporting job files in CSV format, enabling users to efficiently perform mass edits to the tags column and re-import the file to apply the changes. Additionally, the job import process has been streamlined by allowing users to drag and drop .mdb or .csv files directly into the configurator, eliminating the need to use the “Import Job”.
- Users can now retrieve alarm and event logs directly from the panel using the new “Get Logs” option in the panel menu, eliminating the need for manual TeraTerm captures. Retrieved logs are automatically saved in the job builder folder in both the original and CSV formats, with timestamps included for easy reference and tracking.
- A new option is now available to prevent global node troubles from being propagated to other individual node groups within the fire alarm network, allowing for more isolated and accurate trouble reporting.
- Major Enhancements
Major improvements have been made to network operations for large sized network systems:
Faster system reset response.
Enhanced network activation performance for output devices.
Improved audio quality when digitized through the network, with clearer microphone sound.
Increased performance when broadcasting firmware to multiple nodes within the network.
Reduced job send time, improving overall system efficiency.
Minor Features
- New CO operation test feature for combo smoke-heat detectors. Added the ability to independently test CO functionality through the panel menu, bypassing time dependencies and magnet activation. Using the CO bypass command, users can directly activate the CO operation—streamlining testing procedures. Previously, testing required magnet activation, and a panel reset to create a 1-minute time window for CO detection.
- An optional checkbox has been added to allow users to pre-emptively disable all telephone lines when adding a new audio network controller module, providing greater control over system configuration.
Minor Enhancements
- Improvements made for job file validation when requiring audio.
- Increased number of devices which can be correlated to a walk test zone from 1000 to 10000.
- Improvements made to panel’s stability during manage job operations.
- Improved user experience by allowing users to make edits to inputs while in input/output summary tabs as well as allowing user to jump to respective inputs location within the job tree by using the “Jump to Definition”.
- Increased terms (any link is considered a term) limit from 32,000 to 65,000 per node.
- Enhanced logic equation handling to maintain correct switch references when a switch is deleted, preventing unintended ID shifts.
- General enhancements to firmware upgrade procedure.
- Added sensitivity range for MIX-4010-D within the configurator to match the manual
- Added the ability to write logic equations directly to the audio amplifiers.
- Improved reliability of copy node from existing job when creating a new job file.
- Added the ability to separate the LED activation status for evacuation and paging, so that when paging button is pressed, the evacuation LED will not illuminate or vice versa.
- Improved configurator user interface for resolution and scaling Windows Operating System.
